This area of my site is where I wish to add extra information.

Here I will attempt to give information on germinating different seed. Please notice this is by no means an expert overview of how the seed should be germinated, most of these pages are from research. I am NOT a horticulturist, and though I make an attempt to give information on as many species as possible, these pages are only a starting place for you.
I will hopefully also be adding extra general information here as well.

I highly recommend that any beginner takes the time and research their favourite plants. Do this by either subscribing to a garden magazine or buying a book that was written for gardening in your area. If you live in South Africa, try to get a book by Keith Kirsten as he knows how plants react in different areas of our country, I don't.

I mainly sell seed not readily available in South Africa, by implication that means I don't know how they will react in specific areas of South Africa. Also South Africans will note that though I am in South Africa, my sheets will be in inches and talk about USDA zones, the reason is very simple: I sell internationally and source a lot from America. I use the internet to get information, same as anyone else can do.
USDA Zones are a very clever way America has devided their country into specific temperature zones. The colder an area gets in winter the lower the Zone number. Here is a map from the net for Africa, the map says we fall in Zone 9 in my area, but I've found that plants for Zone 9 either needs to be in a protected spot, brought in or will regrow in spring.
